Why?
Because saying this to people is mostly about reaching herd immunity without everyone getting vaccinated.
And if you know anything at all about this you also know that a whole lot more people are going to die unnecessarily to get to Herd immunity.
So, unless you want to be one of the "Sacrificial lambs" of ignorance I would recommend that you wear a mask any time you are inside a building that isn't your home. Outside whether you wear a mask or not mostly depends upon how many people are nearby and did they get vaccinated yet?
If you don't know then wear a mask if you want to live and not become another "Sacrificial Lamb" to the slaughter.
By the way the "Slaughter" is going to be 600,000 Americans soon.
This is already 1 1/2 times as many American soldiers died in World war II.

the one figure I think is in error is "total Civilian and military deaths for the U.S. which should be between 900,000 to 1,000,000. Because many people who were civilian foreign nationals from the U.S. were working in countries like Germany and Japan died too during World War II from many causes.
