Since the Galactic Time Guard created sentients use the local chapter of Space Marauders for specialized jobs around the galaxy in different time periods they need to protect them for future service. The way they do this is to alter time around Ganymede so people cannot find them in normal time lines. Only the Leader Moksha knows this is happening. The rest of the Marauders don't know this is happening. However, many suspect something like this is going on otherwise they would have been attacked from almost anywhere in the Galaxy or beyond.
How this works is that when they enter a certain distance from Ganymede the time alters as they land their ships. However, they live in the future on the planet not now even though when they leave Ganymede they are now 2023 or whenever. So, they cannot be found by people going to Ganymede.
This method is how all civilizations are protected by the Galaxy in the Galaxy from other rogue barbarians from this Galaxy or another. By the way human beings of earth are also considered barbarians because often we have harmed visiting UFOs when they were naive of the customs and habits of earth people. So, they consider us to be relatively uncivilized (at least they consider the governments of earth uncivilized and their military wings uncivilized) for this reason.
So, in this way the Space Marauders can live on Ganymede moon 5000 to 100,000 years into the future in their real time while still being present in our time whenever they leave the planet in their ships to do their business for the Galactic Time Guard or themselves.
They are one of the Galactic Time Guard's Hired Guns (like Mercenaries for hire).
But, most of the time UFOs love regular people here on earth and love vacationing here and living here because of the quaintness of the common people everywhere on earth.
