If you like to write or tolerate writing well often you can use your writing as a form of Self Therapy for surviving the Traumas in your personal life. I found that I found a particular writing style that helped me heal traumas of many different lifetimes starting around 1980 when I was 32 years old and living in Mt. Shasta at that time.
So, developing your own healing or even venting style can be helpful in helping you transit from childhood through teen years and into Young adulthood of your 20s and so on.
I have found life is much different than you might believe growing up. At least it was for me. I found surprises around every corner to the point where I almost gave up being alive in my early 20s either directly or indirectly.
I think not having to be drafted into the military was the most useful thing for me personally. Not having to go die or get PTSD from the Viet Nam War like many people I knew who were around my age then was helpful in healing the traumas I already dealt with from birth to age 32 in this lifetime.
I met so many people who didn't have as good a life as I had who had many problems that might not be surmountable.
There are many types of traumas we all endure. Mine were mostly medical in nature like whooping cough when I was 2 because my parents didn't believe in ANY vaccinations. However, the good side of this was that I tend to have a very strong (1800s) type of immune system which is superior to most people who got shots growing up. It's the type of herd immunity that people who survived before vaccinations had to survived here on earth for thousands of years. Because even though more people can stay alive through vaccinations it does tend to reduce the immune systems of the general populace also. Whereas when there were no vaccinations many less people survived but the ones that survived tended to be healthier and stronger too. Because anyone without perfect immunity died for thousands and thousands of years.
After Whooping cough I got a concussion which caused me to have seizures sometimes at night. But, I didn't find out that this was a concussion caused situation until my oldest son was getting his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at a California State University.
But, i never had a seizure at night after I was 15 years old. However, my medical record showed my seizures so this kept me out of the military so I wasn't drafted and sent to Viet Nam to die or to get lifetime PTSD like many people I knew growing up.
So, the thing I think has been the most helpful to me in my life as an adult is that I never had to kill anyone in my life for any reason. When I look at previous lifetimes this is a really big deal if you don't have to kill anyone during that lifetime to survive whether it is war or accidental or someone attacking you.
But, the medical Traumas of whooping cough and seizures between the ages of 10 and 15 were difficult to process for me because they both changed my life a lot and made growing up more difficult and tended to make me a much more serious person than most young people I knew.
The point I'm trying to make here is that writing can be very healing if you develop a style that helps you heal in your life. And I first found this writing style writing about Arcane and time travel which is the story mostly of future lifetimes as well as past lifetimes. However, at the time I didn't realize I was healing the experiences of multiple lifetimes of mine when I first wrote about Arcane in a legendary form.
