I write many things that I just call "Writing". The idea behind writing like this is to encourage other people to write to heal themselves. Some people do art. Some people write music and lyrics (I have done a lot of that as a young person too) as I started playing piano and getting piano lessons at age 8 and so I took piano lessons and played in public concerts until I was 12 and told my piano teacher that I would still take lessons but I wouldn't perform at her concerts anymore because I didn't like playing piano in front of strangers then.
However, also at age 12 I started playing music in my church. This didn't bother me because I knew all the people in my church and people often complimented me on my playing. I also sang in the choir at the church along with my father and mother. We practiced after Youth Group every Friday Night after church. And then sang on Sundays often. So I played music on the Concert Steinway Grand Piano and on the Baldwin Organ and I taught myself how to play the pedals and to use the stops which changes the sounds of the Baldwin Organ in church.
So, writing is a part of all these creative things you can do in art and music to help heal yourself and the world around you. Art and writing and music are the ways we find ways to go on in our lives. Then there are people who grow roses or other flowers or who grow trees. Then there are people who are ministers or who counsel people to help them in their lives.
My parents were ministers of a church in Los Angeles from the time I was 6 to 12 years old which taught me how to counsel people. As a young person I found I especially was able to help a lot of the girls I met starting when I was about 10 years old onward I realized I had this skill of helping people with their problems. I also helped my male friends too if they were interested in me helping them solve their problems.
The way it usually is is that people are so attached to their problems or overwhelmed by them that they often cannot solve their own problems because their problems freak them out so much.
However, as an outsider if people will listen to you, you aren't attached to their problems and so often you can be logical or pragmatic in ways they are incapable of from being so attached to their own problems.
Encouraging people to write about their lives and problems helps them process what is really going on.
First you write down what is bothering you. Then later you read what you have written and then often you are in a better place to actually see the problem and to solve it or to let others read about your definition of your problems and they might be able to help you too.
However, be careful of who you read your writings too as some people don't have good boundaries and might only amplify your problems if you are not careful, especially family members who have an axe to grind with you.
So, when you write stuff down be careful of who you share these things with so you can better solve your own problems in the short and long run.
