It was mostly scientists and really educated people interested in UFOs from 1947 until the 1980s and 1990s

 Then something changed to where conspiracy theory people who are often some Type of religious Christian (I can relate to this because people in my church growing up were really into conspiracy theories of all kinds). 

So, the point is that now the people most interested in UFOs and who actually go to UFO Conferences tend to be much more to the right and more fundamentalist Christian or Evangelical Christian in their belief systems. Like for example, people at the 2019 Ventura UFO Conference often believed that Trump was going to reveal everything about UFOs which is another conspiracy theory along with believing that JF Kennedy junior will arise from the dead to lead the U.S. So, there is this cultish side to today's UFO cultists that didn't exist in the same way in the 1950s through the 1980s.

However, it is also true that in the "I AM" we were taught that UFOS were from other planets and dimensions and were bringing inventions to save mankind from themselves. Likely the reverse engineered computer chips from Roswell that are powering this laptop and your computer devices like your smartphones are all evolutions in computer chips that started at Roswell. Also, the same year as Roswell the Transistor was invented which I don't think was an accident. before then all we had was huge vacuum tubes in TV sets before Transistors. Then from transistors the learned to make microtransistors and put them in micro computer chips. 

The point is the 1969 UFO Conference in the fall at Giant Rock Airport many or most of these people flew in in their own private planes to this conference from all over the country to show you how different it was then and the more "Engineering kind of people who fly planes and maybe even repair them for fun in their spare time were the kinds of people who came to UFO Conferences then."

What a different 50 plus years makes!

However, if you have a good job and you are going to be fired because you believe in UFOs you still need to support your family so you won't be able to talk about what you have seen until you retire or never.
