Staying alive

The first thing you need for a reason to stay alive is something worth staying alive for.

In my case from 21 to 25 this was my parents or whatever girlfriend I was going out with at the time.

So, i needed to soldier on because I couldn't do that to my parents. So, I returned to college and in college I studied Philosophy first. and the Philosophy Professor always gave me an A in his subjects because I spoke up a lot in class about philosophical principles. At the time I wasn't a dewey eyed 18 year old worried about what people might think of me I had been around some. I had already worked as a computer programmer and computer operator and Electrician by then in addition to going to college. So, in some ways I no longer cared what younger students thought of me because I was a full adult in my own mind and by sharing my philosophical thoughts about what we were studying I was also saving my own life as well.

Then one day I went into the library and found "Psychology Today" magazine. Neither of my parents had been to college because they came of age during the Great Depression. So, i discovered Psychology Today around 1971 when I was likely 23 years old already. However, I realized I had to get rid of about 90% of what was bothering me and most of this was traditional stuff that kills so many young people.

In other words "Unrealistic Expectations". "Sure Johnny  you can be anything and do anything in life"

Well. That might be true theoretically but in reality and in practice that's just bullshit and that's all!

The reality is: "If you don't find something to do that you like enough doing to stay alive for then you aren't going to be here no matter what you become."

So, if you don't love what you are doing often you won't survive what you are doing in life.

This is the reality of all people here on earth.

What do you really love and like and Care about enough to continue to stay alive here on earth?

If you don't realistically ask this question you might not be around very long.
