Surviving your life

 what it is going to take this century to survive your life is likely quite different than what it took from 1900 to 2000 AD.

Much like what it took to survive here in the U.S. from 1800 to 1900 was very different than either now or from 1900 to 2000 AD.

The biggest thing in your personal and family's survival is to be adaptable. Like for example, we just spent what maybe the most difficult 3 weeks of our lives trying to find a way to keep our relative alive through Myasthenia Gravis. 

However, at least for now, We succeeded. 

However, now we have to go back to our life on the coast of California because we have been away a month so far as of Monday. And trying to make your life work remotely is a lot for anyone whether you are at work or at play or anything else.

So, we have survived, our son and his family have survived and we hope there will be a good future too for all of us.

But. surviving this century also might include owning an air conditioner. Many people think they can live without one but that might not be true pretty much worldwide now.

However, where we live on the coast we have two winters (a bad one from December through about March or April and a milder one starting in June through August or September which is fog a lot usually high fog off the ocean which keeps the temperatures lately mostly below 60 degrees during the summers lately. 

In other words the hotter it gets inland the cooler it tends to get where we live simply because the heat sucks the moisture in the form of clouds and fog off of the ocean.

So, everyone is going to have to deal with the heat worldwide and an air conditioner might be a life or death thing for many people.

There have been 13,000 people or more who have died of the heat in the U.S. since 2018.

and I thought I was going to die more than once from heat prostration when I was younger too.

However, now I'm 78 and not taking care of yourself and staying cool enough is simply death and nothing else.

So, now days if you want to stay alive sometimes you will have to buy or rent an Air conditioner (even if it is renting one through the hot periods of Spring Summer and Fall wherever you live on Earth.
