Radiation is Everywhere on Earth

Radiation has been everywhere on earth since the 1940s. In fact, the best way to detect and art forgery is through traces of radioactive Cesium in the paint since the late 1940s. This is how fake Rembrandt's are detected for example. What this means is there IS NO organism on earth without traces of radioactive cesium within it.

So then, this means that radiation is increasing worldwide with each nuclear bomb test, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, every release of radiation by nuclear power plant on earth, every past, present and future partial or complete meltdown like Chernobyl, Fukushima or Three Mile Island here in the U.S.

Radioactive Iodine has a half life of 8 days. So, what that means in real terms is that it likely won't affect anyone or give them Thyroid or other cancers after about one month because the radiation will be low enough not to create that 1st cancer cell which then muliplies and could kill any human or animal on earth this way.

So, likely when Fukushima is cemented in within one month no one will have to worry about radioactive iodine there again. However, people all over Japan and any nearby nations that receive wind from Japan will have to worry about Radioactive Cesium or (Caesium) for about the next 120+ years because Cesium has a half life of 30+ years. Likewise any plutonium in the ground, air or water plutonium-239, has a half-life of 24,100 years. And Plutonium is from the mox fuel in Reactor number 3 at fukushima. So, life will be killed in all its forms or made ill continuously for about 100,000 years or more from any leaked plutonium wherever  it travels on earth. So, organisms might die (including some of mankind) from accidental exposure for likely the next 100,000 years or more already from any plutonium-239 that was released from the containment area of reactor number three there.

Though this is less of a problem in places like North America in California where I live, still as an intuitive I sense the difference. Is it going to kill me? Probably not. And the same is true of you if you live in North America as well. However, does it affect our air, water, food chain, etc. ? Of course it does. But it is all a matter of degree.

For example, if you wanted to lessen your exposure and have a minimum radiation affect upon yourselves you would stop drinking milk, eating meat or anything that walks, crawls, flies, or swims. You might stay indoors more etc.

However, in the long run that isn't practical unless you just stop eating meat, fish or poultry and stop eating any milk products until about 1 month after Fukushima is permanently cemented in for good like Chernobyl is now.

Will there still be radiation all around the world from Fukushima?
Yes. It is now everywhere and will continue to be everywhere. But most places it isn't in high enough concentrations to cause harm.
Will not eating meat, fish and poultry lessen my chances of getting thyroid or other cancers?
Possibly. But if you don't live in Japan this might not be necessary.

Has life changed on earth from Fukushima?
Of course it has but that is only by degrees. Since most people cannot experience radiation unless it kills or sickens them, most people can't tell the difference.

Will some people go mad from the radiation? Possibly. But remember this is only in their minds. It is not actually bad enough most places to cause physical harm unless they are living in Japan in some places.

Once again, has life changed on Earth from the Fukushima Nuclear power plant disaster?
Yes. Of course it has. And we will all be trying to figure out how it has changed for hundreds of years from the time all this stuff was first invented during World War II. Life will never be the same it was in Japan or anywhere else on earth since the Tsunami, Earthquakes and partial or complete meltdowns in Japan. That is a given. Understanding how great the change will be I leave to posterity to figure out. Ask them in about 100,000 years.
