When I look forward in time over the next 100 years and beyond the biggest killer of life on earth appears to be the winds. Winds in all forms above 100 miles per hour appear to be the biggest killer of all land and air forms of life. Things that live under the sea are relatively impervious to winds on the surface but they tend to be affected to a greater or lesser degree from the winds too.
However, things like regular 100 mph winds and above across the oceans, prairies and in the form of tornadoes and hurricanes and cyclones and the like will kill people, animals, birds, the crops people grow and if people aren't directly killed by the winds they will be affected by the reduction in the crops grown that are effected by driving rain, driving snow and sleet and hail at over 100 mph. So even though something like the Earthquake and tsunami of 2004 in Indonesia killed 250,000 people and this one in Japan likely killed around 30,000 people, if you add up all those killed in wind storms, driving rain storms, 100 mph winds across bodies of water, driving hail and sleet and snow, it will be more overall than those killed by earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes overall. However, the big problems that take over 10,000 or more at one fell swoop will get most of the attention. But for most of the world the lack of grain and the higher prices will be the biggest problem ongoing as a result of ever increasing winds in all forms worldwide. So, unless some other system is created you will see an incredible increase in starvation worldwide over the next 100 years to the point where populations everywhere will begin to reduce markedly.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
