Most Americans are not on the left or the right. They are pragmatists in the middle who want the government to keep working. No matter the excuse given by anyone, if the government shuts down the pragmatic will likely blame the Republicans, and more specifically the Tea Party. This is just common sense. There is principle and then there is life and death for the average person. Government shut down is death metaphorically for many people's lives if the government shuts down for any reason. Just like last time the Republicans and the Tea Party will get blamed for any shutdown if it happens. And because of that if the government shuts down expect the same thing happen to Boehner that happened to Gingrich if it does and also expect the same thing that happened to Clinton happen to Obama: re-election. It's just common sense if you are a pragmatist. However, most politicians are not necessarily pragmatists until they have been at it over 10 to 15 years. That is why government shut down is likely. And because of international internet hackers don't expect the government to be able to get back up and running easily after they target the government internet sites after they are rendered vulnerable from a lack of working Internet Technology government employees who had been sent home from the government shutdown.
