Who gets the blame if government shuts down

Though the answer is easy, (Tea party Republicans) will be blamed by the Independents and then because of that re-elect Obama. However, the reality of all this in the long run is much worse than you might think.

The reality of this I heard from a good commentator on CNN. He said something like, "This is nothing more than arguing over who pays the bar bill on  the Titanic while it is sinking."

So, who will be blamed in the end? Probably everyone in Congress and the Presidency and every congress and presidency Since Eisenhower. Because unless you actually spread the blame around you aren't being realistic as to how we all got here.

For example, how many Congresses stole money withdrawn from people's paychecks as Social Security  witholding taxes for the last 50 years so they could spend it on other stuff? And where did they actually think that amount of social security witholding funds were going to come from when all the baby boomers retired that they were stealing from? And how many congresses and presidents did this? The answer is most of them.

So, who really gets the blame for the Titanic we are all on (the U.S. national debt)? Every voter and every federal elected official since the Eisenhower administration. That's who gets the blame for the fix we are now in!

And we must add to all this every dollar spent on all the wars since the Korean War and the Viet Nam War which first took us to bankruptcy before Europe bailed us out way back when in the early 1980s. However, now we owe just too much money as a country possibly to ever pay it back. So then the question becomes, "If we owe too much money to ever realistically pay it back then when will the default be? 5 years? 10 years? 15 years? If it is too much to realistically pay back then either we become a banana republic or we default. One of the two.
