I don't know what the name Obama means. However, his first two names translated are:
'Blessed Chosen One' which I believe might be Arabic, Barack meaning 'Blessed' and Hussein which means I believe 'chosen one'.
Now, this might upset some Christians but for the international world we live in, America has gone from a "spit on" and "beat up American tourist" reality to a story I heard about a journalist in Austria. A young woman heard the American's accent on a bus and simply turned around and kissed him because she was so elated about Obama being elected president.
This sort of thing is happening world wide. However, one must be careful WHAT country or area one is in and many places it is still better to tell people you are Canadian still so you won't be beat up or killed for being an American. This is just the harsh reality of the international world we now live in.
But, what I AM saying is that things are now incredibly safer and friendly for American travelers than they have been in 5 years or more!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
