Heading South towards Southern California

We passed Refugio Beach where they slowed down traffic because of large semis sucking up the oil from the Beach in that area. My wife says it isn't pronouced re- Fu- Gi- O but rather ReFuhio because it is Spanish and she is fluent in Spanish and English form Taking 7 years of Spanish in High School and College.

Later: When you actually hear someone pronounce it this way it doesn't sound like Refuhio it sounds more like Refu-fi-o
