O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)

  1. I have really enjoyed this movie ever since it first came out in 2000. I found myself watching it again today. It' a comedy set in the south likely in the early 1930s based loosely upon "Ulysses". George Clooney and two other guys escape from a Southern Chain gang and that's when the fun begins. In the 1950s when I grew up there were still people around like this who had never gone past grade school and didn't know much about anything and were very superstitious too. But, you would really be hard pressed to find people like this today because mostly they are all gone now. But, they were all survivors more than people generally are today as well.
