The Desire for Sex always creates some trouble

This is a one line quote from the last article.

And yes this is most always true. In fact, I would say most aspects of civilization are built around trying to defuse this trouble. One of the mechanisms to defuse this trouble is marriage where many people gather to recognize a male and a female as a bonded couple and an exclusive (potentially sexual) relationship.

So, as a society and world civilizations in general try to keep the desire for sex not causing suicides and murder of various people. So, marriage is one way people deal with this worldwide.

The desire for sex is not a bad thing. Without this desire none of us would ever have been born in the first place. But, unless people are disciplined enough about this it gets out of control.

Some people advocate celibacy but for most people this won't work (unless they are completely non-sexual) by nature.

So, you look around at people and the one's that have the most trouble with sexual feelings (if they are balanced enough people) usually wind up as parents one way or they other.

So, the trouble with sexual desires is if they are obsessive and not able to be controlled. But, repressing your sexual feelings doesn't work either.

Repressing sexual feelings often just makes people crazy in other ways. So, some kind of outlet one must allow whether it is masturbation or whatever in order to keep sane through all of this.

Because consentual sex even with two consenting adults can be dangerous too, especially if one of them is obsessive about the other. So, understanding that sex can be dangerous on multiple levels outside of a marriage is important for everyone's safety ongoing.

When people think they can repress or control these feelings usually they are just fooling themselves.

I think seeing sexual feelings as sort of like a gun that people need to respect might be a good idea. Safety has to be the thought regarding something like this. For example, you only pull out a gun when absolutely necessary in public and no other time. (hopefully none of you ever find yourselves in a position where you have to pull out a real gun in public or anything else).

So, seeing sexual desires like a gun or even as an automobile which is even more potentially dangerous and lethal than a gun puts it all into perspective.

Sexual desires are useful if you are wanting to have children and they are useful in helping a good marriage stay together. Otherwise, often they get people killed, maimed or drive them completely insane.

But, if you respect that you have sexual feelings and that on one level they cannot be denied without consequences then you are going to be more realistic in all your actions. As long as you have respect and compassion for yourself and all other beings likely you will be just fine.
