What is causing potential failed states like Greece, Syria and Yemen?

Of course the dynamics are slightly different in Europe as opposed to the Middle East. The biggest difference of course is that Europe is Christian Secular for the most part and the middle East is Muslim for the most part. Different cultures produce different results.

So, since forgiveness is more a part of a Christian Secular environment you have financial calamities more than violent calamities because of a Secular Christian attitude which is more peaceful and less violent in it's reactions to things. It isn't that Europe hasn't be extremely violent in past years or centuries. It's just that people have had enough violence now and try to avoid it at almost all costs in Europe now.

However, what is happening to Greece is likely to end up in some kind of violence (even if it is imported by Middle Eastern Refugees flooding into Greece (and through Greece) into the rest of Europe illegally now.

But, here are the primary reasons causing more and more potential failed states in the Middle East and even now in Europe:

Overpopulation
rising oil prices (over the long haul) which reduces standards of living everywhere
Global Climate change (less can be grown because of weather changes) and also now the pollution caused by setting off bombs and other wartime materials.
Less potable water(which causes many deaths of many Children in the Middle East and Africa)
The inability to get jobs and get married which causes restlessness especially in men who don't want to starve to death. This causes them to become criminals or terrorists (or both) in order to survive even to age 30.

Then all the above causes cause young men and women or men and women of all ages to become so frustrated they become violent, (and not always in productive ways because of their extreme frustration and lack of education and experience in life). This then destroys nations, infrastructure and creates millions of refugees which cause the same problems wherever those refugees go.

Where are those refugees going???

Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Greece and illegally into Europe.

The further they get usually the more money they have or had along the way.

But, this also means when they get to wherever they are going they are destitute and having to start over often with large families wherever they find themselves. This also tends to drain resources from wherever they move to until they become more established in that new locality (if they ever do).
