I have mixed feelings about all this because of Russia being there too. However, it might protect the Kurds from Turkey murdering all of them too. So, because the Kurds helped us end the ISIS army on the ground they might need us there to protect their continued existence in Syria and Iraq. Also, this might keep Assad on his toes too. But, Russia being there with it's armed forces is always going to be problematic and could easily result in a nuclear war when we least expect it. (It might start right there in the Middle East). And then spread worldwide.
