The easiest way to say this is: "The truth is whatever you believe it is".
If no one can dissuade you from your beliefs than that is "Your Truth".
Should you not believe what you believe because someone tells you you must believe something else?
That is up to you whether you want to risk death in some situations.
From my point of view you tell people whatever they need to hear to allow you to stay alive while still believing whatever you believe to be true.
So, there is what you say to people so they leave you be alive and then there is what you actually believe in your heart of hearts.
Now, some of you might say, "Isn't that dishonest?"
If you are a world traveler and you tell people around the world exactly what you believe as an American some of them Can and Will Kill you!
If you don't understand this then you should not travel the world. This is a given.
So, honesty is good in some situations but some places you cannot be honest with people and survive at all.
So, don't travel the world if you have to say "What you believe to everyone" or else you soon will be dead.
When you travel the world you really have to guard your words to stay alive no matter who you are.
This is a cardinal rule of a world traveler that actually stays alive to travel more!
