* maximum temperature in warning area: 101 to 107 degrees.

* Maximum temperature in advisory area: 95 to 102 degrees.  

* Minimum temperature in warning: 64 to 74 degrees.

* Minimum temperature in advisory: 56 to 65 degrees.

* Locations in the warning include... Medford, Ashland, trail, 
  Shady Cove, Merlin, Grants Pass, Rogue River, Murphy, Ruch, 
  Jacksonville, and Wilderville. 

* Locations in the advisory include... Butte Falls, Prospect, 
  Cave Junction, Obrien, Williams, Agness, and Galice. 

* Impacts... very high temperatures and limited relief overnight
  will increase chances for heat related illness, especially for
  sensitive groups and people without access to air  
  conditioning. Heat stress is also possible for livestock and 
  outdoor pets.

Precautionary/preparedness actions... 

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.

An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of
dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot
temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a dangerous
situation in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of
fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and
check up on relatives and neighbors.

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. This could create a situation in which heat illnesses
