I watched it last night and once again I had this feeling of the ancient natural Shamanistic ways of mankind versus the high tech way of looking at things. In order for humanity to survive what they will face this century both are needed. Both ways and more are needed in order for any of humanity to survive this century because of the changes too many people have brought to earth in various ways.
On one level it is hard to distinguish what is ultimately good or bad in the long run simply because humanity will have different needs as the winds increase than they do now.
For example, unless they have wind proof greenhouses and ways to store or pump water they won't survive this century because all trees and vegetables grown might blow away a few days or weeks every year. So, without a way to keep fresh water from blowing away in the winds or to keep plants themselves from blowing away in the ever increasing winds caused by the warming of the oceans as like a heat storage battery or something, people won't be able to grow food to eat because it could all blow away depending upon where they live on earth. And likewise if wind is strong enough it moves water too in various ways. For example, even now most waves on the oceans are caused by constant winds across the ocean. Likewise, if wind is strong enough it moves and evaporates fresh water too like it evaporates and moves ocean waves and turns some of the ocean into clouds that bring rain to the land.
So, stronger winds more of the year are going to evaporate more fresh water from the land combined with more heat causing even more evaporation from both oceans and lakes and rivers that are fresh water around the world.
There are many things I cannot foresee that will happen to mankind more in the future but the winds increasing in intensity in hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards and heavy rain storms blowing vehicles off roads and blowing planes out of the sky and things like this that are happening more each day now worldwide. These things I can foresee quite accurately which will starve or blow away many of mankind this century or both.
So, living in a more permanent structure that cannot be blown away in winds with windows that won't be blown out and fling glass particles throughout homes and businesses is something to consider also during these times of ever increasing winds this century worldwide.
For example, metal shutters that can be closed is one way you could protect your windows from blowing out in winds and throwing glass shards everywhere during hurricanes, tornadoes and other heavy winds worldwide.
Also, a cement and metal house not primarily built of wood at all and likely not over 2 stories tall with metal shutters on the windows so they can be closed so the wind cannot blow them out constructed (NOT) in a flood plain might be a good idea for a long lasting home through all of this.
However, even a perfectly built house could be flooded out or destroyed by an earthquake, also families break up and people can't deal with that either. So, there is no one perfect solution to these problems only temporary solutions for some people for awhile which is why people being more mobile to survive all the changes on a monthly or yearly basis is something to look at too as things change more and more.
People will do what they do and some will survive this and some won't just like it's been for thousands of years or more already.
For example, the people who might survive wars both psychologically and physically leave those places and sometimes never come back because of wounds, death and PTSD. Everyone has to make their own choices in this of course. But, the people who most survive wars (on all levels) are not present where those wars actually take place. They go somewhere else and start new lives so their children actually have a future.
However, if no one stood up for what is right we would have no democracies at all here on earth.
So, life is about the choices we make every moment of every day.
