Because it is quite possible that that person's garage and home burned down then because Fire engines likely couldn't get there because of Hurricane Helene and sea flooding up to 20 feet high.
Also, I live at the ocean near San Francisco in California. It doesn't make me want to own an electric vehicle for this reason also. I don't think I'm alone in this regarding people who live near oceans all over the world who don't want their electric vehicle to catch fire if ocean water gets to the batteries which are just under your feet if you are riding in any electric vehicle that I know of.
