Finally cooled down in Mt. Shasta. It's 69 degrees so cool enough to shut off Air Conditioning and open sliding door to Veranda for cool air

Friends of ours went to the fireworks at Lake Siskiyou but we are still recovering from Portland but we had dinner with our friends on their land as the sun was setting on their lawn where you have a view of Mt. Shasta. Their land is beautiful with many trees and manzinita growing there. Some of the trees south of the house were from when my friend and I planet trees in the 1970s so the trees from those days are now 40 feet high on my friends land today. It's nice to think of those days and that some of these trees from then are still alive on his property. We planted all around Mt. Shasta then especially on the north and East side of the mountain in the 1970s all the way up to Tree line sometimes where the trees stop growing.

Good Memories of amazing experiences in the wilderness when I was young and strong and healthy and alive in a way I remember well now at 78.

69 degrees finally at 10:30 pm Saturday July 4th, 2026.
