As I mention in an article I personally have been scammed by hackers somewhere in Ohio according to what GPS information comes through so far even though I live in California but am presently in Oregon in Portland. So, if you are traveling and you get shut out of all of your streaming platforms don't be surprised because this is happening to millions of travelers around the world not just you and they are using sophisticated AI tech to do this to you too. My son warned me about how bad AI hackers are getting worldwide now that they can use parts of AIs worldwide now too. It's really getting bad all over.
Also, in hotels watch out for Android systems in Televisions in hotels and motels which are easily hacked by some hackers using advanced AI too. This is what likely happened to us I'm thinking now. Also, the wifi here is not secure it says too which can be a problem when traveling because most hotels and motels don't want to invest the money into making their wifi secure for guests.

Millions
of travelers are bilked each year when desperate to access geo-blocked
or disconnected streaming platforms while away from home.
Scammers specifically target this vulnerability by selling illicit
"lifetime" streaming subscriptions, fake VPNs, or compromised accounts
on platforms like Telegram.
The True Cost of Streaming Fraud:
- Financial Loss: Travelers tricked into buying cheap, fraudulent accounts frequently have their credit cards stolen. Investigations show victims lose hundreds of dollars to unauthorized purchases.
- Global Scale: Up to $2.5 billion is lost annually to password and account abuse globally. Criminal operations rake in over $2.3 billion a year through low-cost scam subscriptions and advertising.
- Wider Travel Scams: More than one-third of travelers face online travel-related scams. This includes fake hotel and airline deals that inflate rapidly.
How to Protect Your Money and Data:
- Use Trusted Services: Never buy "cheap" or "lifetime" streaming accounts from unauthorized social media sellers, Telegram groups, or the Dark Net.
- Avoid Piracy Sites: Illicit streaming websites are often fronts for malware. They can steal your passwords and credit card information.
- Watch for Phishing: Scammers use fake emails pretending to be from your hotel or airline offering free Wi-Fi or streaming. Always verify the source.
If you want to protect yourself while traveling, I can help you:
- Find reputable VPN providers that securely bypass geo-blocks.
- Spot fake Wi-Fi networks in public spaces.
- Recognize the warning signs of common travel booking scams.
Which of these would be most helpful for your trip?
