It was 38 degrees this morning where I live on the Northern California coast. This type of temperature usually only happens 1 or 2 days a year year here on the coast but this week there are going to be 3 days of 38 degree lows.
Other impressive lows for California:
Sacramento 28 degrees
Mt. Shasta 16 degrees (I think it's low last night was 13 degrees)
Salem Oregon 25 degrees
Ashland Oregon 24 tonight and 9 degrees tomorrow night
Portland Oregon 27 degrees (my daughters sent me pictures of the snow in Portland Oregon yesterday.)
And 6 degrees Fahrenheit tonight in Lake Tahoe
31 San Jose
Carmel Valley 31
Salinas 31
Soledad 29
King City 24
Santa Barbara 36 degrees (So, even southern California that far south is affected too!
This is likely the coldest set of temperatures from Seattle on down to about Big Sur and Santa Barbara or further this year. The winds are about 33 miles per hour so there is a wind chill on top of these temperatures too. To walk the dogs I put on a wool hat and wool necklet and ski jacket and still felt the cold some. But, my dogs loved it as we walked the trails chasing tennis balls with an orange colored plastic chuck-it.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
