Made it to Portland today
We got up early and left Mt. Shasta by about 9 or 10 this morning and got into Portland by about 3 or 4 and had dinner with two of our kids and the family of one of them too. It was good to see them as I hadn't seen one of since July of this year. So, it was good of us to reconnect. The drive up was okay and sunny most of the way to about Roseburg, Oregon where the sky drizzled mostly for awhile but by the time we got to Eugene the storm had moved further eastward but we could see the rain coming down heavy to the east of us. But for us, it was nice not to drive in heavy traffic in the rain so it was much better with a dry road on into Portland, Oregon driving along the Williamette River. (the Columbia River is the border a lot of the way between Oregon and Washington State by the way.)
