I had to deal with a serious health issue this week while I was in Mt. Shasta. Luckily I avoided having to go to the hospital like I did in 2015 with a burst appendix. However, my older daughter wanted me to try a diet called a Bright Line Diet which eliminates all flour and sugar from your diet. For me, I decided to add cheese to this because at age 70 I find it is just too binding for me at this point to eat.
So, though it isn't as fun without toast and pizza and cake and things like that it is better if you want to stay alive at my age ongoing and not just drop dead one day because you have been eating in a way that won't keep you alive.
When it is hard for you to give up things in your diet that might kill you then you know you are a food addict (at least for those items).
I find it easier to see it that way. What happens if you are stressed about something in your life you tend to reach for your "Food addict" items which could be anything for each individual person.
However, if those food items might actually kill you (and then your family wouldn't have you around anymore) you have to rethink how you are living your life (if you actually care about your family and friends).
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
