Our country is not in the middle of a bloody revolution like Yemen or hopefully not France in the Future.
We still have our borders intact in that we have a border patrol north and south patrolling our nation (even if we don't like children being imprisoned away from their parents at the border).
We still have an independent judiciary at least for now.
It appears like voting still works enough to keep up the checks and balances in a midterm election at least for now.
Our military is still loyal to the common people.
Our country is still relatively free of foreign influences.
Our forests haven't all been burned down yet even though the droughts west of the Colorado Rockies might eventually kill most trees at altitude this century from global Warming.
Our oceans (at least the Pacific Ocean is still alive from San Diego to Alaska and there are still fish alive in it (though not as many as 20 to 50 years ago).
Our lives are still generally better than the lives of people who lived in the U.S. before 1960 here in the U.S. generally speaking.
I could go on but generally speaking we still have an amazing nation with much more than I have written about here to be grateful for this Christmas Season.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
