What happens in one part of the world tends to effect all parts of the world

It didn't used to be this way. People lived in very small worlds. They only often lived and stayed within about 100 miles of where they were born. But then, first sailing ships, then steam ships, then Diesel and Gasoline engines on Ships, trains, then cars and trucks and then planes and then space ships changed all this. Then communication went up into satellites that could transmit all this information around the world in a few seconds. At this point what happened one place could be seen in literally all places at the same time.

The first real time this happened for the U.S. was during the Viet Nam war. This was the first war we saw in real time as it happened. And I think this helped to create the anti-war movement as friends saw other friends dying there in real time and for what purpose?

This changed the way people saw things a lot worldwide and ever since then world events have become more and more important. Looking back into history we see now that all wars could have been lessened in their effects both short and long term with all people's being aware of what was actually going on as it occurred.

So, my efforts with this blog is to try to help the world be more informed about current events so everyone can have a better life and more people survive well and happy.

On one level this is paradoxical because the world now suffers from overpopulation which is now the primary cause of all wars, governmental collapses and starvation.

However, those educated enough, who read blogs like this one can also help educated others and help others to be intelligent enough about their decisions to also survive. So, at least the most educated people can and will survive if their genetics allow it.

For example, in Western AFrica the main reason the Ebola is spreading is how people are afraid of hospitals. So, they take care of their own and touch the bodies of the dead and dying culturally. However, this kind of thinking will likely kill more thousands there if people continue this traditional behavior.

However, through education the more adaptable people who are scientific in their approach and not just tied to tradition can survive.

In almost infinite ways this same kind of traditional and therefore self destructive behavior  in cultures kills an amazing amount of people every single day.

So, the more informed people can be the more likely they will survive and not become road kill on the highway of life worldwide.

People make crazy choices and die here in the U.S. every day too. It's not just in West Africa. It's everywhere.
