If you have a blog I find it helps for people to know you get a lot of visitors, and that you have consistently delivered blogs for your readers around the world. So, as the numbers go up I sometimes share where we are. However, it is also important to say I had this blog from 2007 until 2011 until it really took off because of letting people know about crowdsourcing in regard to radiation after Fukushima.
The real problem of Fukushima is that it likely is the worst (long term radiator) at a nuclear plant that I know of. Though Chernobyl pumped incredible amounts of radiation into the air, land and water it is more contained than Fukushima ever could be practically speaking. This is primarily because of it's location on the ocean and because of the water moving under the facility from on shore out into the sea permanently. There is no way I presently know to stop this flow of water from being radiated by the meltdowns that occurred there. One of these meltdowns was reprocessing weapons grade plutonium that has a half life of 25,000 years. So, this facility (no matter what else happens) is going to irradiate the land, water, and sea for 25,000 years plus (because that is only the 1/2 life).
