I found another paragraph I liked regarding Rand Paul which I also agree with from Time magazine on page 36 from June 22nd 2015:
By the time his 15 minute stump speech is over, he has delivered a tutorial about the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth, Sixth and Ninth and 10th Amendments to the Constitution. "We Republicans won't be successful as a party," he says, "until we support the entire Bill of Rights as enthusiastically as we suport the Second Amendment"---that is, the right to bear arms.

I fully agree with this statement. People aren't stupid. If they don't see their rights being protected by a party they will definitely in the main go with the other party. So, unless a party protects all our rights it isn't going to get the majority vote, especially in a Presidential Election.
