Gianelli Power Plant.

The Gianelli power plant generating electricity is on the San Luis Dam. I often drive by this way to Interstate 5 as a way to not have to drive through Heavy Bay area traffic which can be exhausting to deal with. This year and last year I have been worried about enough water in this dam because storms haven't brought enough water to this area to fill this dam like many years in the past. From this dam south into California there simply is not enough water to last the rest of the year now.

However, then there is Shasta Dam which also generates power that the last time I drove up Interstate 5 less than a month ago now, it was 109% full which is very good for northern California this year. However, most rains have hit from Central California north rather than from San Luis Obispo South this last year which means that all of Southern California is going to have to rely even more on local aquifers and canals and water piped over from the Colorado River. As the dams in the Colorado River lower in water levels over the years through overuse because of more people in the western States water becomes more of a problem for almost everyone as these states grow in population. Because basically people are moving more into deserts and near desert places that exist from New Mexico to Utah to Arizona to Southern California. Bringing water to the deserts is always a technological feat and will remain so long into the future.

begin quote from GIANELLI POWER PLANT WORD BUTTON BELOW:

Gianelli Power Plant. Gianelli is located at the base of San Luis Dam, which forms San Luis Reservoir, the largest offstream reservoir in the United States.
