To fully understand this you have to look at how Republicans have been lied to ever since the Reagan Adminstration ended. Promises have been made by Republican Leaders over and over again but it was all lies.
When people are lied to enough and their lives are being destroyed by these lies they become desperate people.
People who are middle Class to poor Republicans who haven't been to college but who work very hard are losing ground in their lives.
Trump is a desperate response to a desperate situation for them.
It's sort of like someone who cannot feed their children might go out in desperation and rob a bank like that.
So, Trump is a desperate response of 30 years of lies to them and lives that no longer work because of all those lies.
So, Stephen Hawking this is what Trump is all about. It is desperation from the middle Class and poor in trying literally ANYTHING in the hopes that their lives will get better even if they are choosing a demagogue who might end their lives in the process.
There are no catch nets here in the U.S. there is no welfare or dole like there is in Europe. If you don't make it here you are on the streets and homeless. You see this every day. So, many of Trump's supporters are almost on the streets or on the streets which is why they support him in complete desperation.
It's not pretty but it is the honest truth.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
