My blog sort of took off and flew after the 2011 Tsunami that hit Japan. At that time I was advocating Crowd sourcing with Geiger counters in Japan because the government could not be as forthcoming with information as it wanted to be for a variety of reasons.
So, in order for less people to get cancer or worse and die I was one of many who was advocating individuals in Japan (on their own) to buy geiger counters, take their own readings of food, water, air and earth and all items outside when all this happened and to post their readings for others to see around the world. This actually was very effective and likely saved many lives and made people with children take many actions to protect them better since 2011 now.
One of the more interesting things I learned is that a friend's daughter was teaching English in Japan and got from this happening to Fukushima, thyroid Cancer. However, luckily she was treated and now lives back in the U.S. in Hawaii and is okay. So, likely the government still isn't reporting all the cancers from people exposed then or now either. It's sort of understood that especially Fukushima workers (Many) have died as volunteers to keep others alive in trying to bring things under control there at Fukushima where there were three reactors melted down. One of these reactors was reprocessing weapons grade plutonium with a half life of 25,000 years.
So, if you are a blogger and thoughtful and caring about helping people stay alive worldwide, often people take you seriously and your blog might grow like mine has since then.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
