Five Days of Snow coming down in Mt. Shasta

I had wanted a break and hadn't been able to travel to Mt. Shasta since October because of winter colds both my wife's and my own hanging on. So, I had to put it off until Wednesday last week. We got stopped by a closed Interstate 5 on Wednesday night only to get into Mt. Shasta, check into a room at a hotel and have basically another 4 days of snow in Mt. Shasta. We couldn't see the Inauguration because at the time we had no power, no heat, no TV and no WIFI in the hotel because power lines had come down nearby from heavy wet snow falling.

But, somehow this was better for me where I couldn't worry about Trump being sworn into office and all the damage he likely will do to the whole world.

It's not that he won't bring jobs back to the U.S. I know he likely will do this but at the cost of ending globalization for all intents and purposes which will bring on naturally trade wars and separation more between all the countries of the world.  With more separation there will be more disagreements and a higher chance of wars and starvation between many countries here on earth.

So, this is why (Just logically looking at this) millions of people worldwide will die from Wars, starvation etc. while Trump is president, even while he brings jobs back to the U.S. by destroying the rest of the world.

However, it had to happen or the U.S. would have just faded away into nothingness if we stayed on the same trajectory forever.

Now, we have no real idea where it all goes from here.

But, watching snow fall is a good meditation especially if you are safe and warm inside a hotel room or in your car or 4 wheel drive vehicle. Wonderful to spend time with the mountain even though I couldn't see it because of storms until I left this morning during a break in the storms.

Beautiful with snow covering the town and the mountain with many many feet of snow.
