In computer programming online terms a "Cookie" is a tracker. It tracks what readers do. Companies and governments and various other kinds of people employ cookies for whatever purposes they choose. I don't like cookies and anytime I can clean my computer from cookies I do because they just slow down computers generally speaking from a users point of view and are not useful to the User in any way that I can see.
How can one "Clean their computer of cookies" to prevent their computer slowing down from them?
If you are in Chrome go up to the top of your page where it says "History".now go to the bottom of the fold down to where it says "Show full history" and click on that.
Now, if you have the same version of Chrome that I do you look to the left top of the page to where it says "Clear Browsing Data". Now make sure you are in the advanced one and look and make sure you actually want to clear everything listed there. If you want to clear everything listed there then click on "Clear Browsing Data". This will also log you out of wherever you are logged into online. So, just be aware you will have to log back in.
But, for the moment at least you have just cleared all cookies and other things you don't need from your system. This doesn't mean more won't get attached to your system every other day you browse as well though. So, maybe once a week you can do this to keep your computer running at a speed you like.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
