Because they are much less likely to have psychotic breaks when contacted by off worlders or from people from the future or past that live here on earth.
Since UFOs have been coming to earth since before any life was on earth they watched us evolve into what we are today over millions and millions of years. So, they know if someone is naturally intuitive and trusts their instincts that they are much less likely to endure a full psychotic break and shit their pants and become dysfunctional with a permanent form of PTSD like soldiers often do or people who witness horrific events in their life unexpectedly.
So, if a UFO isn't there to harm people but just to observe people or contact people here, often they are going to choose Intuitively gifted people who are already stabilized in their instincts and who can survive these contacts. What's the point of making humans completely dysfunctional to the point where they poop their pants and can't take care of their families or work or go to church anymore because their whole world view has been destroyed permanently by UFO contacts?
