Cox Cable when you are using Netflix
My wife and I were again in Santa Barbara this evening and the sky was kind of smoky while driving south on 101. The problem was that when we tried to watch "Disenchanted" on Netflix it seemed kind of mind warping too much for us so we wanted to watch something else because we realized we were too tired from driving to enjoy this. When we tried to move to another TV station instead of Netflix we couldn't leave the Netflix picture. Even when I said into the controller "HBO" to leave Netflix and to go to cable TV I could get sound from HBO and related cable stations but no picture, just Netflix picture. My wife suggested we turn the power off of the cable box which seems like the only way so far we have found to exit Netflix with a Cox Cable System. This worked by the way. At home in the SF Bay area we have Comcast and we also have a Roku for online stations like Netflix, Amazon prime and Roku which is a free service from Roku itself (if you have a Roku Setup to begin with I think. So, the way we solved this problem was to shut off the power to the Cox Cable Box. But, if you do this it is going to take a few minutes to reload itself.
