IF you were wondering why Manafort doesn't go for a plea deal and get immunity, it's because he can't without jeapordizing his life and the lives of his whole family as well. If he does anything other than what he is doing he would be killed by Putin just like the spies in England.
It is not at all about his loyalty to Trump. It's about his loyalty to his family in not wanting them all murdered by Putin. IN case you were wondering this is what is actually happening here. Manafort is in a really terrible place between a rock and a hard place because of his association and being in the pay so long of Putin.
