Likely I would say it is both. However, the demographics right now (rich to poor) is exactly the same as it was in 1929 during the last big Crash. What does this mean?
It means there are so many poor people in relation to rich people that the poor have NO vested interest whatsoever of maintaining the wealth of the rich. This is when there are crashes like the Great Depression.
ONLY when you spread the wealth among the people (Like the trade unions did starting in the 1930s can you have the poor and middle class actually invested in the rich staying rich so there actually can be a Middle Class. If there is no middle class then situations where the poor and the middle Class don't exist where they want to help the rich.
It's all about equality that used to exist in the U.S. but still exists in Canada. In Canada there are enough social programs regarding health and education where people who start out poor actually can still get rich. So, the American Dream has already moved to Canada and here because the American Dream is basically dead we are ripe for another Great Depression.
Unless we bring back equality (in regard to getting ahead) we are literally going to have another Great Recession or Great Depression almost any day now caused by unthinking, uncaring people like Trump who couldn't care less about anyone who isn't smart, corrupt, and white.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
