The last two additions to the Supreme court were neither fair or helpful to the country in many different ways. For example, 50 votes is the LEAST votes any supreme court nominee has ever won with in history. Because McConnell in the Senate went Nuclear Option regarding Supreme court justices and made partly as a result a mockery of fairness and justice. Then Kavanaugh's politicization of the job shows that he will NOT be non-partisan as is expected of all Supreme Court judges. He demonstrates that he will be a POLITICAL animal on the Supreme Court of the most Conservative Republican ideas especially ideas like Trump.
So, he is another nail in the coffin of democracy in the U.S. The Supreme Court will no longer be looked upon by the people as ANY arbiter of fairness ever again as long as Kavanaugh is there.
Therefore, it is very likely in the next 10 or 20 years that out of desperation and a desire for actual democracy and not a fake one that the U.S. will split up into various countries. Maybe Ecotopia (as Washington, Oregon and California split away as one). And other divisions are also likely in New York and other states where they will secede from the union.
It is possible it could go another way but this is the way it looks right now.
