For example, today I was listening to CNN and they were saying Nixon resigned for about the same amount of transgression that Trump is accused of here. However, it is still to be figured out whether the American people will put up with a criminal in the White House or not.
What I find strangest is the only way Trump can avoid prosecution might be to win another term as president in 2020. So, he would likely do and say almost anything to make that happen so he can "run out" the statute of limitations on his crimes that he committed which are all felonies at this point.
However, I don't think the majority of Americans are going to put up with that.
