In countries with few resources and generally corrupt governments you will tend this century to watch these governments collapse sort of like Somalia one by one. The people will rise up for survival and governments being corrupt will collapse under the weight of bribery and inefficiency during this century.
Governments have to be efficient in order to survive, even if it is an efficient bribery situation which is abhorrent to most people. However, when you have floods and hurricanes and droughts often these governments cannot survive these extra stresses and you will wind up sort of like Somalia with drug lords and terrorists running everything during the 1990s. You can already see this happening in some Latin American countries already which is why so many brave the long walk through Mexico even if they are held in confinement having crossed the border to the U.S. because at least then they have a place to sleep and food to eat and aren't being killed by gangs and raped or starved or enslaved in various ways.
The collapse of these 3rd world nations all over the world is likely the biggest threat to democracy and order worldwide in the coming future because they will be taken over of course by terrorists and drug lords as these governments tend to collapse one by one. Even Mexico eventually this might happen to over time but I hope not. So, it is likely that the U.S. will prop up Mexican governments so they don't entirely collapse just to have a buffer between us and drug lord run governments further south.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
