Is ignorance that is Fatal, Bliss?

This might seem like an odd question but not this century. In other centuries often it was wars that people had to watch out for or starvation because they didn't have pipes to bring water to their farms in droughts or tractors to plant or harvest crops so millions and millions died more (percentage wise of earth's populations than now).

So, what is it that people of earth are ignorant about that is potentially fatal to them?

I think it's about where people choose to live or visit mostly. It's sort of like why I don't go to parts of my area where people die more than once a week. It's the same thing. If you were to visit the U.S. people might not realize that there are places in the U.S. where you might be likely to be murdered or worse and other places where you likely would be safe.

It's the same now all over the earth. If you visit or live in places while tornadoes are happening there or hurricanes are happening there or blizzards are happening like the one in Buffalo this year that killed so many people, then you might die in one of these calamities.

But, these calamities are becoming more and more common every day it seems. Even the record snow in the Sierras might flood out completely, the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys if we get too much warm weather too soon, especially with 25 feet or more of snow many places above 4000 or 5000 feet in the Sierras, the Cascades (like in mt. Shasta where a friend of mine has been under over 10 feet of snow since early January on his land at 4000 feet nearer to McCloud on his acreage there. He cannot even see out at all on his first story and must climb up into the 2nd story to even see out at all in his house. He kept the road plowed so he can get out to get food or other things but where he lives he cannot see the sun or clouds at all on the first story of his house and hasn't been able to since about Christmas time now. And he isn't alone in this across the U.S. either.

So, the point is to be prepared for whatever comes wherever you might be on earth. There are things that are expected for example, if you live where hurricanes happen, or if you live where blizzards or forest fires happen every year.

For example, along the coast of California (especially southern california from about Santa Barbara to San Diego and malibu Canyon it is easy for anyone to predict that there will be grass fires which might burn down many houses along the coast especially if Santa Ana Winds pick up (at any time of year).

So, wherever you live be aware of what is going on all the time if you want yourselves and your families to live through what is coming for all mankind this century.

Ignorance is bliss (only if you can survive it).

I can remember visiting places in Asia in the mountains where there were no telephones, no radios no TVs etc. and I can remember how much happier people seemed with no media at all. However, the other side of it is that when something bad happens all or most people die and are never heard from again.

So, this is something to think about too. maybe some people want to be ignorant of how they could die at any moment worldwide and prefer just to check out suddenly in some kind of disaster.

Yes. That is a choice that people could make.
