I guess I scared my subconscious watching this series because I woke up last night scared. It must have done something to my subconscious mind. But, you might laugh when you hear what scared me. It seems even funny to me now. But, last night I needed my wife to talk me through this to be able to go back to sleep at 4 am this morning. How Funny!
There is a guy in this series (with aliens coming to the earth within 400 years from now to wipe us out. Well, This guy is one of the physics friends trying to solve the problem. However, he refuses to tell the love of his life that he loves her before he dies of cancer. To me, this is horrific and I guess it freaked my subconscious out simply because from 1969 to 1973 I told every girlfriend I had that I loved her which was about 25 women in that college era for me. At the time this seemed appropriate even though today people deal with all this in what would have been for me then (in a completely alien way). So, for me, this guy not telling the love of his life that he loved her was the most horrific thing my subconscious could imagine and very English if you know what I mean for men in that culture.
So, I decided not to watch the last couple of episodes because we had watched up through episode 6 last night. So, my wife is watching the last two episodes without me. I still want to know what happens to this "War of the worlds?" scenario but it's not fun anymore for me. Some of the videos listed on this page are going to ruin the story for you so if you are going to watch this thing don't watch any of the videos on this page. However, I wanted to know how it ended so I watched the youtube one that says it came out a day ago.
