When I met the present Galactic Sentience who runs and owns this Galaxy that his relatives built I thought of this name "The Galactic Sentience" because it describes what he is. He is aware of everything that happens in this galaxy 24 hours a day. Because of this some people call him God on some planets. However, he doesn't really want to be thought of as a God because it doesn't seem helpful to the beings who believe he is God from his point of view.
What a Galactic Sentience does is to run the Galaxy sort of the way a cattle Rancher would run a Ranch in Wyoming. A Galaxy is created by a Creator (which is what our soul Species is). So, All galaxies are created by our Soul Species throughout the known universe.
One of the bi-products of creating galaxies is Time and Space which didn't exist before Galaxies were created. So, time and space is a bi-product of the creation of Galaxies.
Why did our Soul species create Galaxies?
It's a lot like why people build farms and create cattle or sheep ranches. It's a way to have a better life and to have more children. The same exact thing is true of our Soul Species.
However, when we live billions of years as our Soul Species (which really is a paradox because our Soul Species often doesn't inhabit time or space but can if they want to).
So, when we live billions of years as a soul like I have we often "Retire" instead of dying. Earth is a retirement home for retired Souls who have lived billions of years like me.
Mortality allows us to value being alive somehow. By experiencing mortality as human beings we see the value of living another day, another year or another eon because we see that we want to stay alive rather than fade out like a Star and die.
