They thought it unusual for people to live in forests. I told them that at least in California and Colorado and many western States living in a forest like I do near the ocean is pretty normal for California. It's not that everyone does this it's just not unusual because things are just much wilder still west of the Mississippi River in the Western States. In many areas they aren't very populated except along the West Coast from San Diego to Los Angeles and from around Monterey up through about Santa Rosa, California. For example, it's not unusual to see 10 or 20 deer wandering around or sitting on the grass somewhere near where I live simply because they aren't allowed to be hunted here on the ocean. However, this also means that Mountain lions periodically come in and thin the deer populations out too and people within a block of where we live have doorbell videos of a cougar (mountain Lion Couple) hunting at night likely for deer or pets or whatever they could find to eat. One lady we know was eating breakfast at 7 am within a block of us and saw a cougar walk across her front lawn and was very surprised. But, mostly they tend to hunt at dawn and around sunset or at night because they have great night vision being cats.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
