If you actually read the 25th amendment, first the vice president and the cabinet have to tell Congress that the president is unfit for office. But then, the president can then write his own letter to congress. Then the Vice President and cabinet can write a 2nd letter to Congress and then the Congress has to (by a 2/3 vote) agree with the Vice President and cabinet that the president is unfit for office.
Personally, deciding to run for office by President Trump I think might have been an act of Senile Dementia in the first place. But, as a good reality show actor he has pulled off some aspects of being a president but none of the most important ones. Should he be removed from office by the 25th Amendment? Likely yes. But will he be? Likely no. I would say there is a 98% likelihood that he will not be. Which would mean if it were attempted Pence and all the Cabinet would be fired eventually by Trump.
Which might take us to a worse place than we are right now. So, what is the solution to the problem of all U.S. citizens and victims of his trade war worldwide?
By the way I think that the Op-Ed piece in the New York Times was Vice president Pence for a variety of reasons saying basically. "Hey People. This is insane! You better make me president before there is nothing at all left of the U.S. Government!"
However, would we be better off with Pence as president? I don't know about that. Maybe a completely incompetent Trump might be better than what Pence would do. I think that's why Trump is still in office by the way.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
