For me, this was a real sweetheart of a movie. It basically asks the question. If you knew you were going to die (along with all life on earth at the same moment) what would you do? Would you riot and destroy everything? (which some do). Would you still work at your job and party and have sex with everyone there? (which some do). Would you get together with your church and all get baptised in the Ocean(which some do). Would you prepare like a survivalist to be okay after the meteor hit? (which some do). Or would you meet someone new and fall in love with them and be grateful that you met them and loved them before you die?
I thought it was a wonderful movie but it is not a comedy, it is a romantic story about life and what might happen if it ends suddenly. Everyone will face death sometime somewhere. It's all a matter of time. Great movie!
If you are philosophical or interested in meditations on impermanence as an enlightenment tool this movie might also help with this.
