Foul smell reported across Southern California

Have you ever been to Mt. Lassen National Park or Yellowstone National Park? Rotten Egg Smell is usually from sulfer vents which could be on a fault line somewhere as in San Andreas Fault that runs the length of California. I don't see how the smell of the Salton sea could get past Indio and Palm Springs all the way up to Los Angeles and San Diego. It would have to be so bad that people at the Salton Sea would be passing out. Besides, The prevailing winds don't go that direction usually unless there is a Santana wind and even then it usually doesn't go south to north that I have ever heard of except up or down a few canyons. A Santana wind goes East to West off the deserts whereas the normal winds are off the ocean and tend to go West to East. (I lived in Glendale in the Los Angeles Area from 1956 until 1969 while I was growing up).
