In ones teens it is always hard to love oneself in a healthy way. So, people tend to look for the Beloved outside themselves, in God, in people they meet.
However, the Beloved in reality is themselves, God, and compassion and love for their children, all mankind, and all creatures of the earth, the cosmos, the Universe forever.
However, if one doesn't find a beloved outside oneself, (temporarily) one doesn't necessarily discover this and succombs to despair and either suicide or death by accident or on purpose.
So, discovering the Beloved whether that Beloved is God, oneself, or the universe or all three at once escapes them and then they are gone.
So, discovering the Beloved however you go about it is the difference between life and death,
Literally.
After I read this to my wife she said, "You don't know as a young person that the Beloved is
yourself".
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
